The Louisiana Emotionally Focused Therapy Community is dedicated to delivering Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to underserved and underrepresented populations. We also seek to expand the representation, inclusion, and sense of belonging of all people within our community of therapists. Furthermore, our trainings promote the universality of attachment-based emotional experiences that lead to secure and healing bonds of love to all of humankind.
We are excited to announce that the Louisiana EFT Community, overseen by the Louisiana EFT Board of Directors, will offer training grants beginning in 2021. Our plan is to utilize these training grants as a way of creating a more diverse clinician base that may remove at least one barrier to treatment for underserved and underrepresented populations. This year, we will offer two training grants for EFT Core Skills 1, 2, 3 and 4 classes.
