Training Grants

Louisiana Community 2022 Training Grants

The Louisiana Emotionally Focused Therapy Community is dedicated to delivering Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to underserved and underrepresented populations. We also seek to expand the representation, inclusion, and sense of belonging of all people within our community of therapists. Furthermore, our trainings promote the universality of attachment-based emotional experiences that lead to secure and healing bonds of love to all of humankind.

We are excited to announce that the Louisiana EFT Community, overseen by the Louisiana EFT Board of Directors, began offering training grants in 2021. Our plan is to utilize these training grants as a way of creating a more diverse clinician base that may remove at least one barrier to treatment for underserved and underrepresented populations.  This year, we will offer two training grants for our advanced EFT Core Skills training cycle.

To qualify for this training grant, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • You must have completed Externship in Louisiana at the time of application.
  • You must represent and/or work with an underserved and underrepresented population (e.g. BIPOC, sexual and gender minorities, differently abled, immigrant status, SES standing, etc.)

Applicant must complete the following process:

  • Complete the application here (The 2022 application process is closed)
  • Along with  the application, upload a cover letter, current curriculum vitae and provide a reference (name and contact information) for a minimum of two of the following: current or past clinical supervisor; EFT trained therapist who is familiar with your work; or any trained therapist familiar with your work.

The deadline for applying for this training grant is midnight on May 15th. Louisiana EFT Community Diversity and Inclusion Training Grant recipients will be contacted on May 20th.
